PASS BALL
(TOPIC: ENERGISERS)
Instructions
ALL STUDENTS IN A CIRCLE. (OR A FEW GROUPS OF 8-10 IN ONE CLASS ROOM).
ASK THE STUDENTS TO PASS A MIMED BALL TO OTHERS (ONE BALL AT A TIME). THEN SIDE-COACH: THE BALL BECOMES HEAVIER, UNTIL IT WEIGHS A TON, OR EXTREMELY LIGHT, EXTREMELY BIG (AND LIGHT OR HEAVY) OR EXTREMELY SMALL (AND LIGHT OR HEAVY).
WE NEED TO ’SEE’ THE BALL’S CHARACTERISTICS IN THE WAY IT GETS PASSED. STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO HAVE FUN WITH IT AND EXAGGERATE- ACTING IT UP.
PURPOSE: ENCOURAGE LAUGHTER, FUN, BLOOD FLOW AND GETTING ENERGIZED AT THE START OF A DAY OR LESSON.
