Preparation Process
(Team Input for Team Intensives)
PROCESS FOR CREATING TEAM INTENSIVES educational sessions:
In the week prior to the Term 2 or Term 4 Senior Facilitator meeting (SF meeting usually happens in week 5/6):
- Email the SF team to ask for any ideas for Educational Sessions to include at the Team Intensive.
- Email template could look like this:
Hey SF team!A little request for help from you all prior to our SF meeting next week.
We are starting to prepare for next Team Intensive on [insert dates]. Could you all please rack your brains and reply email to me (just to me, not reply all) any thoughts/ideas for any educational sessions that could be worthwhile for us to work through altogether at that training? Please get this to me by EOD [Insert date for end of this week]. I’m trying to compile a list of options to present to you all at our SF meeting next week, so we can narrow down how to best use our time together at training.
Needless to say, as our SF’s , we very much value your thoughts and ideas on how we can best keep upskilling and improving our team! These may be things that we have covered before that could be great to re-visit and sharpen up. Or, potentially new ideas to cover. Thank you in advance for any thoughts!
Compile ideas from SF’s and add your own ideas/options for Team Intensive educational sessions to present to SF team:
- Email this list to Luke and Cody for their feedback.
- Luke and Cody to add optional items if they haven’t already. In the SF meeting of Term 2 or 4:
- The final meeting agenda item = present this list to the SF team; briefly explain the thoughts for what each potential educational session could entail.
- Before leaving the SF meeting - SF team are to email you their top 3 preferences for what they believe the team would benefit most from at the Team Intensive.Tally SF votes for educational sessions:
- Email these results to Luke and Cody.
- Discuss the results with Luke and Cody and make final decisions of what the Team Intensive educational sessions will be in the week after the SF meeting (*Note: Luke, Cody and you ultimately have the final say as to what educational sessions are to be run. The votes from the SF team are just to help guide your thoughts through their preferences).Discuss and decide who will be best to deliver each educational session at the training with Luke and Cody:
- This will most likely be one of you, or one of our team, or even potentially an external provider.
- Aim to have decided this by week 6/7.
- If it’s not one of you running a session; let that person know asap! Each team member is to create a draft of what to include in their designated educational session/s:
- Complete this by week 8 and share with Luke and Cody.
- Discuss with Luke and Cody what to change, add, etc. within each of these draft educational sessions.Week 10: Discuss with Luke and Cody where the preparation of all of the educational sessions are at:
- Make adjustments if needed.
- Organise the pre-Team-Intensive online meeting for the 3 of you that will happen a day/couple of days before the Team Intensive. Finalise all of your plans for the educational sessions during this meeting (amongst discussing all of the last minute logistics/preparation for the Team Intensive).Team Intensive: deliver to the best audience you will ever present to in your entire life :) Enjoy!
