We are excited to have you join the team for an observation day at SCHOOL NAME on DATE. It will be a great opportunity to check out the way we do things, learn a bit, and see whether this is a good fit for all. 

You should have seen the calendar invitation come through by now with the details you need. Find some further points below. 

Arrive at ARRIVAL TIME, which is 45 minutes prior to session one commencing, and meet FACILITATORS NAMES out the front of main admin to walk in as a team. This ensures we have time to sign in and set ourselves up for the day ahead together. The last session is scheduled to finish at FINISHING TIME, and once everything is packed up you should be able to be out of the school by around FINISHING TIME PLUS 25 MINUTES. 

The purpose for you being at an observation day is to give you exposure to how we do the work that we do. Please take notes about your learning and what you notice on the day. You won't be required to say anything from a microphone, but there will likely be opportunities for you to contribute at different times (see some details below). Keep in mind our values and do your best to demonstrate them. Perhaps you can try to see them in action throughout the day through the team members who are leading the workshop!


Suitable attire: Chino / Denim Shorts, sneakers, and a plain T-Shirt. 

The team will bring a spare UPP shirt for you to wear for the day. 

Please bring the following things with you for the day:

  • WWCC Number / Blue Card and Photo ID

  • Notepad and Pen

  • Water bottle

  • Morning Tea / Lunch

  • Hat

  • A great attitude and willingness to learn

How to get involved:

  • Connecting with staff and students

  • Helping set up activities and equipment

  • Being present throughout activities

  • Learning as much as you can

  • Asking questions of the team at appropriate times (during breaks is best)

Before the day - Please respond to this email with your Working With Children Check (WWCC) details prior to the observation day so we have it on our records, and reply to this email letting us know you have read and understood everything throughout. 

If there are any dramas or if you have any questions feel free to give me a call at any point prior to the day (details below), otherwise we will look forward to hearing your thoughts and reflections afterwards!
