POSITIVE IMPACT PROJECT - SESSION 9:
ACTIVITY VS. LEGACY
As we begin to come to the completion of the Positive Impact Project that you and your fellow leaders have run, it is important to ensure we are leaving some sort of legacy behind to benefit our community. While activities are good for a day, a legacy leaves a mark on people for much, much longer. Throughout this session we will decipher the difference between an activity and a legacy, and we will begin to consider what type of legacy you can leave behind from your Positive Impact Project.
βTHERE ARE HUNDREDS OF THINGS THAT MAKE US BUSY. BUT THEREβS ONLY A FEW THINGS THAT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE.β
ACTIONS TO TAKE:
On completion of the video, turn to page 15 of your Positive Impact Project workbook. Here, you are to consider the answer to each question.
Once you have completed the questions, share your thoughts within a group discussion. Discuss why it is so important to leave a Legacy as leaders and not just run an activity.
Continue this group discussion as you move on to page 16. As a group, decide where each of the options at the top of the page would sit along the continuum.
