AEROBICS LINE
(TOPIC: LEADERSHIP & TEAMWORK)
Instructions
All students form a line (one behind the other)
The first student starts walking around the room, walking a large circle or path around or between desks. All other students follow the first one, and try to move like them.
After 30 seconds, the first student goes to the back of the line, and the students start following and imitating the second one.
The leader in each case can move in whatever creative manner they choose (eg stomping or clapping while walking, hopping or crawling instead of walking, etc).
Debrief: demonstrates the importance of being a leader sometimes, and being a supportive follower at other times. Discuss the need for both in life, sports, work, etc. How did it feel when the leader wanted you to do something really silly? Were you less likely to copy? What about if it was your best friend leading?
